Memories are often evoked by brief glimpses of ordinary things.
Such memories can start a direction of thought that brings insight and understanding. Such is the subject of this little leporello,
its images leading to an uplifting conclusion, in spite of gloomy weather.
The idea of catching a momentary glimpse of something is echoed in the construction of the bookwork, its images half-obscured by a die-punched sequence that is bound on top of them.
The clarity comes later, as the concertina is turned over tp discover further text.
This is a hard-back leporello, its boards covered in bookcloth with an acetate window
in the front one, revealing title and author through a collection of dried flower petals, memories of beautiful things long gone.
